One numeric threshold, and it is often misquoted. The Regulation on Health and Safety Measures in Workplace Buildings and Annexes (Official Gazette 17 July 2013, no. 28710) requires a suitable **rest area where there are 10 or more employees**; for a dining area there is **no headcount threshold** — the trigger is whether staff must eat on site. Drinking-water carboys are governed separately: a returnable carboy may be used for at most **5 years or 75 fills** (raised from 3 years by the 20.10.2016 amendment), shelf life after filling is **3 months**, and carboys must be washed at **55–70 °C** before each fill. Cups, plates and cutlery fall under food-contact rules and require a written **declaration of conformity**. **Scope:** We supply **materials** in this category. Is a staff canteen legally required? Not by headcount. The regulation requires a suitable dining area for employees who must eat on site — the trigger is need, not a number. The 10-employee threshold applies to rest areas, a separate requirement. What should we ask a drinking-water supplier? Four things, all derived from the Regulation on Water Intended for Human Consumption: carboy age and fill count (max 5 years or 75 fills), the provincial authorisation date and number on the label, confirmation of the 55–70 °C pre-fill wash, and shelf life within 3 months. How is boiler or coffee machine capacity chosen? By peak-hour demand, not by headcount. In a 60-person office where roughly half take a hot drink in the same 20-minute break, the machine has to deliver around 30 servings in that window — a domestic kettle cannot, and an over-specified commercial boiler wastes standby energy. Tell us the headcount and the break pattern and the sizing follows from that. How many cups should be in circulation? A common planning figure is 1.5–2 ceramic mugs per person, which covers washing-up cycles and breakage. For disposable cups, plan on the daily serving count plus 10%. Where both are used, the disposable stock is usually for meetings and visitors rather than daily use. Do you install kitchen units and appliances? We supply the units, appliances and consumables. Plumbing, electrical work and fitting are outside our scope; within İstanbul, fitting can be arranged on request and appears as a separate line in the quote. Do you ship outside Türkiye? Yes. We deliver across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and arrange export shipments abroad. On export orders the delivery term is agreed at quotation stage under Incoterms 2020 — EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP — and the quote states which party arranges and pays for carriage, and where our responsibility ends. Country of origin, HS code and any conformity documents needed for export are settled at the same stage. What does an export quote include, and what does it not? It includes the goods, export packing where required, and carriage up to the point defined by the agreed Incoterm. It does not include destination-country duties, taxes or customs charges — those sit with the buyer. Cargo insurance is not automatic under EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP; if you want it arranged, say so in the request and it appears as a separate line. Turkish VAT is zero-rated on exports once export clearance is completed. Is there a minimum order for an export shipment? There is no fixed minimum, but freight economics set a practical floor: on a low-value single-line order, carriage can exceed the value of the goods.
