Paint quotes are compared on **coverage per litre, number of coats and finish** — not on price per tin. A cheaper paint that needs three coats to cover costs more than a better one that needs two, and the difference is mostly labour, which does not appear in the material quote at all. State the **substrate** (new plaster, previously painted, metal, concrete floor), the **colour reference** as a RAL or similar code rather than a name, and the **sheen level**. For resin floor coatings the specification that makes quotes comparable is the system and dry film thickness together with the **EN 13813 class code** — without them, three quotes are pricing three different jobs. **Scope:** We supply **materials** in this category. Yes. Upload your take-off or BoQ as Excel or PDF; we price line by line with appropriate pack sizes and quantities. Can we specify colour and brand? Of course. Note the brand, colour code (RAL/chart) and sheen; the quote is prepared to spec, with an equivalent alternative if you wish. How much paint is needed per square metre? For interior emulsion on a prepared surface, plan on roughly 8–12 m² per litre per coat, with two coats standard; porous or previously unpainted surfaces consume more on the first coat. Never plan from the total area alone — subtract openings, add 5–10% for touch-up, and state the substrate in the request, because the same paint covers very differently on new plaster and on a previously painted wall. Can a standard roller be used with epoxy paint? No. Epoxy and polyurethane coatings dissolve standard roller sleeves and leave fibres in the finish; a solvent-resistant sleeve is required. A spiked roller is also needed on self-levelling systems to release entrained air, and spiked shoes to walk on the fresh coating. These consumables are minor in cost and are the most commonly forgotten items on a floor coating order. What has to be in a floor coating specification? System and dry film thickness (for example “2 mm self-levelling epoxy”), the EN 13813 class code (for example SR-B1,5-AR1-IR4) with a declaration of performance, the slip resistance class and test standard, and the surface preparation method. Without those four, quotes with a two-fold price difference are all describing “epoxy floor coating” and none of them is comparable. We supply the materials; application labour and surface preparation are outside our scope. Do you ship outside Türkiye? Yes. We deliver across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and arrange export shipments abroad. On export orders the delivery term is agreed at quotation stage under Incoterms 2020 — EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP — and the quote states which party arranges and pays for carriage, and where our responsibility ends. Country of origin, HS code and any conformity documents needed for export are settled at the same stage. What does an export quote include, and what does it not? It includes the goods, export packing where required, and carriage up to the point defined by the agreed Incoterm. It does not include destination-country duties, taxes or customs charges — those sit with the buyer. Cargo insurance is not automatic under EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP; if you want it arranged, say so in the request and it appears as a separate line. Turkish VAT is zero-rated on exports once export clearance is completed. Is there a minimum order for an export shipment? There is no fixed minimum, but freight economics set a practical floor: on a low-value single-line order, carriage can exceed the value of the goods. Consolidating several categories into one shipment is usually what makes an export order worth placing — which is the same reason our buyers consolidate domestically.
