Not a catalogue — a scope indicator. If an item you need is not listed, it is almost certainly still within scope; send the description and we will price it.
The items in this category are part of a pool of 25 listed items here, published together with every other category on the A to Z supply list — each with a short technical description and the unit it is ordered in. The same list is downloadable as a brand-free technical specification in Word and a unit-price schedule in Excel. That pool is a starting point rather than a boundary: items outside it are quoted the same way, from their measurable specification.
How is meeting-room display size actually determined?
By image height, not diagonal inches — the standard is ANSI/AVIXA V202.01 (DISCAS). It defines two viewing categories: Basic Decision Making (acuity factor 200) for presentation and video conferencing, and Analytical Decision Making (factor 3438) for spreadsheets, CAD and technical detail — two different formulas, so the two constants are not comparable with each other. The widely repeated “4/6/8 rule” is not part of the standard: AVIXA’s own training material calls its origins unclear and notes that it accounts for neither aspect ratio nor resolution. On mounting, the display’s VESA pattern (MIS-D 75×75/100×100, MIS-E 200×100, MIS-F in 200 mm steps) and the mount’s UL 2442 testing are what matter. In Türkiye, an in-house IP PBX needs no BTK authorisation as long as it is not used to provide service to third parties.
Scope: We supply materials in this category. We do not provide wall or ceiling mounting, cabling and system commissioning labour. Within İstanbul mounting and cabling can be arranged on request and shown as a separate line in the quote. Beyond that — across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and on export shipments abroad — our commitment ends with delivery of the materials to the delivery point named on the quote, under the Incoterm agreed for export orders.

Buying conference and event equipment in Türkiye
Two very different buyers arrive here. One is equipping a room that will be used again and again — a hotel meeting floor, a congress centre, a university hall, a training room. The other is running a single event and is really looking for a rental company. Settle which one you are first, because it changes everything that follows: for one event, renting locally is almost always cheaper and comes with an operator, while buying only starts to pay once the room is permanent. We supply equipment for purchase; we do not rent.
What actually sets your timeline
Not the brand — whether the item is already in a distributor’s stock in Türkiye or has to be ordered from the factory. The question bites hardest on large-format panels, high-channel wireless microphone systems, ceiling microphone arrays in a specific finish, matrix switchers and anything certified for voice alarm; it bites least on mainstream displays, all-in-one video bars and IP desk phones. We do not publish stock levels on this site — they change weekly and they are the distributor’s to confirm, not ours — but the answer does go on the quotation: every line carries its lead time and its stock status (from stock / from production / from import), entered only once the distributor has confirmed it to us in writing. Ask any supplier for the same two facts, per line, in writing. A quotation without them is a price, not a plan.
Power, sockets and frequency
Türkiye runs on 230 V, 50 Hz, with Type C and Type F (Schuko) sockets. Equipment marked 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz needs a plug adapter and nothing else; anything marked 110–120 V needs a step-down transformer; and anything marked 60 Hz only can still run hot or slow here even behind a transformer. That is the whole rule, and the worked detail — including what a 50 Hz supply does to lighting on camera — is in the frequently asked questions at the foot of this page. If the event will be filmed, say at what frame rate: it decides whether the lighting on the list has to be flicker-free.
Delivering to a venue rather than an office
A congress centre or a hotel is not a normal delivery address. Most have a goods-receipt window, a loading dock rule and a requirement that the shipment is addressed to a named person who will sign the delivery note. What the request needs is the venue, the city, who signs and the date the room has to be ready — the delivery plan is built backwards from that date, not forwards from the order date.
If the equipment is to leave Türkiye rather than stay in it, say so at the request stage rather than after the invoice. An outbound shipment is quoted on a different basis — the Incoterm, the export document set and the VAT treatment are all settled at quotation stage — and the full answer is in our export shipping guide, with the short version in the export questions at the foot of this page.
What to send so the quotation is usable
- Room dimensions and seating layout, and the distance from the display to the furthest viewer — this is what sizes the screen.
- Ceiling height and whether the table layout is fixed; together they decide table versus ceiling microphones.
- How many rooms, and whether they must be identical. Identical rooms are cheaper to buy and far cheaper to support.
- The conferencing platform you actually use, and whether the room must work without a laptop.
- Power and data points already in the room, plus who is doing the cabling. We quote the equipment; within İstanbul mounting and cabling can be added as a separate line, elsewhere the quote ends at delivery.
- Delivery city, venue and the date the room must be ready, with the name of the person who will sign for the goods.
Frequently Asked Questions
Nearby categories: Corporate Apparel & Promotional Items · CCTV, Alarm & Access Control. A single request often spans several categories; they are priced in one quote and settled on one invoice. The full list is on product categories, and Turkish procurement terms you will meet on the paperwork are explained in the glossary.
Do we need a licence to run an IP PBX?
No. Article 6 of the Turkish Authorisation Regulation for the electronic communications sector exempts networks used exclusively for a company’s own needs and not used to provide service to third parties. The authorisation obligation sits with the operator supplying your SIP trunk.
Can we use a consumer TV in a meeting room?
You can, with three caveats: consumer sets are not rated for continuous operation, portrait mounting is usually unsupported, and brightness may fall below the 500–700 cd/m² typical of indoor signage. For a screen that stays on all day, a professional display is the right choice.
How is display size chosen for a meeting room?
From the distance of the furthest viewer and the kind of content, using image height rather than diagonal inches. ANSI/AVIXA V202.01 (DISCAS) sets two cases with two different formulas, so their constants are not comparable with each other. Basic Decision Making — presentation and video conferencing: farthest viewer = image height × %EH × 200, where %EH is the smallest element on screen as a fraction of the image height. Analytical Decision Making — spreadsheets, CAD, dense drawings: farthest viewer = image height × 3438 ÷ vertical resolution, 3438 being the number of arcminutes in a radian, which pins that case to what a 20/20 eye can resolve. Take AVIXA’s own worked example, a 36.8 in image: at 3 %EH the basic viewer can sit at 220 in, while at 2160 vertical pixels the analytical viewer has to be at 59 in — change either input and both numbers move. The “one sixth of the viewing distance” rule circulating online is an uncalibrated special case of the basic formula rather than a standard, and it under-sizes analytical rooms: do not write “4H (or 6H) as required by the standard” into a specification. Send the room dimensions, the seating layout and what will actually be shown, and the sizing is checked before anything is quoted.
Which microphone type suits which room?
Table or boundary microphones for rooms up to about eight people; ceiling arrays above that and where the table layout changes, which is where Microsoft’s own room profiles put them too; integrated video bars for small huddle rooms. The determining factors are ceiling height, reverberation and whether participants move around — not headcount alone.
Do you install AV systems?
We supply the equipment. Installation, cabling and commissioning are outside our general scope; within İstanbul, installation can be arranged on request and appears as a separate line in the quote. Nationwide, our commitment ends with delivery to your location.
Can you supply conference equipment to a venue in Antalya, İzmir or Bodrum?
Yes. We are based in İstanbul and deliver to the site anywhere in Türkiye — a congress centre, a hotel meeting floor, a university hall or a company office. Give the venue name, the delivery city, the name of the person who will sign for the goods and the window the loading dock accepts deliveries in; most congress venues and hotels restrict both.
Do you rent AV equipment for a single event?
No. We sell equipment; we do not run a short-term rental fleet. For one event, hiring from a local AV company is almost always cheaper than buying, and it comes with an operator. Buying starts to pay when the same room is used repeatedly — a hotel meeting floor, a congress venue, a training centre or a corporate campus — because the rental cost recurs and the equipment does not.
Will equipment bought in Türkiye work with devices brought from abroad?
Mains supply in Türkiye is 230 V at 50 Hz, with Type C and Type F (Schuko) sockets. Read the whole label, not just the voltage. Equipment marked 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz needs a plug adapter and nothing else. Equipment marked 110–120 V needs a step-down transformer — an adapter changes the shape of the plug and nothing else. And check the frequency next to the voltage: 50/60 Hz is fine, but a device marked 60 Hz only can still run hot or slow on a 50 Hz supply even behind a transformer, which is worth knowing before a motorised screen, a lift or an older amplifier is shipped in. One more consequence catches film crews: on a 50 Hz supply the light output of some fixtures pulses at 100 Hz, which shows up as banding or flicker when the camera is set for a 60 Hz country — so tell us the frame rate you will shoot at and whether the lighting has to be flicker-free.
Do you ship outside Türkiye?
Yes. We deliver across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and arrange export shipments abroad. On export orders the delivery term is agreed at quotation stage under Incoterms 2020 — EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP — and the quote states which party arranges and pays for carriage, and where our responsibility ends. Country of origin, HS code and any conformity documents needed for export are settled at the same stage.
What does an export quote include, and what does it not?
It includes the goods, export packing where required, and carriage up to the point defined by the agreed Incoterm. It does not include destination-country duties, taxes or customs charges — those sit with the buyer. Cargo insurance is not automatic under EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP; if you want it arranged, say so in the request and it appears as a separate line. Turkish VAT is zero-rated on exports once export clearance is completed.
Is there a minimum order for an export shipment?
There is no fixed minimum, but freight economics set a practical floor: on a low-value single-line order, carriage can exceed the value of the goods. Consolidating several categories into one shipment is usually what makes an export order worth placing — which is the same reason our buyers consolidate domestically. Tell us the delivery country and we will say honestly whether the freight makes sense before you spend time on a specification.
These three questions are the same on every category and industry page. The full answer — Incoterms, the document set and ISPM 15 packing — is in our export shipping guide.
